New Beginnings!

Today is my LAST DAY at Tobii Dynavox! It's been a wonderful ride working for this amazing company whose mission I wholeheartedly support (helping those with communication challenges and giving people VOICES). As rewarding as this adventure has been, I've felt a calling to return to hands-on clinical work and once again open my own clinical practice. At the same time, my wonderful, hard-working husband was working to expand his dental practice and purchase the entire building that houses Geary Family and Cosmetic Dentistry. This larger practice and bigger space meant that there would be room for me to share his space (and his love for helping people) and open my speech-language therapy practice right in the same building! I am so excited to begin this next adventure, serving families in my very own hometown of Yorktown, VA. As part of this venture, I will be working contractually two days a week in the York County School District and will begin that venture on Tuesday while I continue to build my practice. I will miss my wonderful colleagues at Tobii Dynavox, but I am definitely ready to make this leap into full-time private practice! Working hands-on with kids again has me SO excited!!!
